Custom Picture and Drink Coasters - Katz Wins Big at PIAS Print Awards

Katz Americas was the recipient of a Best of Category award for 2011 during the annual Printing Industry Association of the South (PIAS) Graphic Awards Ceremony, held on June 22^nd 2011 in Nashville, TN. The annual awards ceremony is one of the most prestigious in the printing industry and submissions can be accepted from any of the 520 member associations in the PIAS; including companies from Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and West Virginia.

The company was honored for a holiday card that showcased many of the company’s unique and custom printing capabilities, wowing the judges and taking the highest award in the SELF-PROMOTION CATEGORY. Katz utilized specialty processes such as Die-Cutting, UV Spot Gloss, Coated Glitter, Glow in the Dark and Multi Color Foil Stamping applications in the holiday card, which clearly set it apart from the competition.

The card had all of our high added value (HAV) processes placed on it,” said Mike Elbers, Chief Operating Officer of Katz Americas, “it was a work of art to say the least.”

However, the holiday card was not Katz Americas’ only honor in the PIAS ceremony. The very prestigious award was paired with nine awards of excellence in various categories, rounding out an excellent showing for Katz Americas at this year’s ceremony.
