Katz Americas 4oth Anniversary

For 40 Years The Drinks Have Been On KATZ. Coaster Company KATZ Americas Celebrates 40 Year Anniversary.

Thomas Muraca opened the American Coaster Company and it’s doors for the very first time in 1979. The original manufacturing plant was in North Tonawanda, NY. Now, KATZ Americas has 2 plants in the United States, one in Sanborn NY, and the other in Johnson City TN.

This year marks the 40th year producing the highest quality pulp board promotional coasters. For nearly 3 decades they operated as American Coaster Company until acquiring Ad-Mat International Coasters in 2007. Shortly thereafter, American Coaster Ad-Mat was purchased by The KATZ Group, creating a global brand. They are proud to say their quality of product and dedication to their customers has stayed the same for 40 years!

Currently the KATZ group is the largest coaster manufacturer, producing 60% of the world’s beverage coasters and 90% of North America’s coasters. They produce coasters for the leading beverage companies, movie and TV companies, streaming services, and a myriad of companies around the globe.

“Coasters captivate an audience at a bar or restaurant, they are like mini billboards.” said Tammy Gorzka, president and CEO of Katz Americas. “It becomes a conversation piece rather than just an advertisement.

KATZ has kept producing the classic round, square and rectangular coasters, and over the last 40 years slowly added new coaster products. Adding products like glow in the dark, scratch and sniff, cold reveal, postcard coasters, custom shape, and scratch off coasters make it more than just a beverage coaster.

“The company comes from a very strong family business background who believed in American manufacturing.” said Thomas Muraca (son of founder), VP of Sales and Marketing. “We take pride in the business that we do, and it is important for us to keep that tradition alive.”
