To Whom It May Concern: For well over 150 years the coaster has been a product of very little fanfare. From its humble origins as a pint cover, to keep flying debris out of a beer, through several printing processes and up to today with the scratch-off, thermochromic designs of the cutting edge promotional tool it has become. No one really paid much attention to us. Until now! Let me first clear up one thing; Katz Americas the market leader in North and South America has not filed and has no reason to file for bankruptcy. We are in good health and working our way through these difficult economic times, as are most of our customers. We face some very difficult challenges but we are committed to the manufacture and promotion of the coaster as an essential advertising tool, not simply for breweries but for all types of advertising. And yes, the German entities have indeed filed for protection under the German court. This process will allow us to make the required changes to bring our business back to a very strong position and continue to provide the market with high quality products and innovative solutions as we have over the past 150 some odd years. We appreciate all the attention this unfortunate situation has garnered and we are committed to all of our stakeholders to find a very quick and mutually beneficial way forward. We continue to service all of our customers, delivering to all five continents. We have a committed team of employees at all of our locations that are working hard to bring us out of the situation we are currently in. I look forward to a very bright future and the continuation of our proud heritage. In closing, the coaster or beer mat is alive, albeit a bit beat up but who isn't these days, and the future is indeed bright. Yours Truly, |
